Best defined as allegorical, Absurdistan is a whimsical fable about love and longing.  The film centers around Temelko and Aya, two young lovers destined for one another.  So much so, that two were “engaged” at the age of four and “married” at the age of eight.  History, however, is proving to be an admirable foe and threatening to separate them as their village becomes more and more divided.
