Los Angeles quartet Rooney are very proud to announce the release of their new album, EUREKA. Produced and crafted entirely by the band, EUREKA will be released June 8th on California Dreaming Records through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The follow-up to Rooney's two critically acclaimed albums - ROONEY & CALLING THE WORLD - EUREKA sees the band not only showcasing their most inventive and original material to date, but also seeking innovative and self-motivated ways to develop in a new climate, playing a vital role in the future of the music industry. Taking control of their music brings Rooney back to their roots. Formed in 1999, the band began self-producing and promoting EPs with endless shows on The Sunset Strip and along the way garnered a massive fan base in their hometown of Los Angeles and beyond. Among those fans was Geffen Records, who signed the band and released their first two albums. Since the release of their debut self-titled album, Rooney's irresistible songs have continually captivated fans and critics with what Spin, Details, Entertainment Weekly, Alternative Press, Nylon, The New York Times and Rolling Stone Magazine hail as "elaborate sunny vocal harmonies crowning anthems." EUREKA continues to showcase the band's knack for creating melodic hooks, reverberating guitars and heartfelt harmonies. From the playful rhythmic groove of lead single I CAN'T GET ENOUGH to the timeless pop balladry of INTO THE BLUE, from the psychedelic sounds of STARS AND STRIPES to the blissful and breezy pop of I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU, EUREKA not only succeeds with 12 impressive and infectious tracks, but spotlights the band's gift to craft intelligent and stimulating rock songs.

On March 23rd, Q Prime's Mom+Pop Music Company will release An Horse's Beds Rearranged EP. The five-song collection will be available at all digital retailers. A limited edition bundle pairing their full-length 2009 album, Rearrange Beds, with the remix EP will be sold at independent record stores. After two performances at SXSW later this month, the Australian duo will launch a North American tour, which will include two shows with Dashboard Confessional and a six week run with Kaki King that kicks off at New York City's Bowery Ballroom on April 16th.
Beds Rearranged EP features remixes by Gerry "Ghosthouse" Smith (TV On The Radio), Bodega Girls, RAC Collective, MR. F (Tally Hall) and The Phenomenal Handclap Band of five tracks from An Horse's debut album. Rearrange Beds, which was produced by Magoo (Regurgitator, Midnight Oil, Skunkhour) and mixed by Howard Redekopp (The New Pornographers, Tegan and Sara), was released in the States last March. Noted Pitchfork: "...the record is rife with the sort of urgent energies one might expect from a moment of creative genesis." An Horse made its U.S. television debut on "Late Show with David Letterman," and toured with Silversun Pickups last year.
Upon the release of the full length in Canada, An Horse opened for Tegan and Sara on their nationwide Canadian tour. In addition to the upcoming U.S. dates (listed below), they have two more Canadian outings planned and numerous festival appearances scheduled - including the Gurten Festival with Tegan and Sara and others in Switzerland (July 15), the Melt Festival in Germany with The XX, Massive Attack and others (July 17) and the Green Man Festival in the U.K. with The Flaming Lips, Beirut and others (August 20).
An Horse will open for The Big Pink this week in Australia, where Rearrange Beds will be released on March 19th. The album will be released on the same day in Germany, Austria and Switzerland via Grand Hotel van Cleef (former home of Death Cab For Cutie).
Guitarist/vocalist Kate Cooper and drummer Damon Cox met while working in an independent record store in Brisbane, Australia. Talk quickly turned to forming a band and, shortly after they began playing live, the duo landed an opening slot on Tegan and Sara's spring 2008 U.S. tour. While in the States, they came to the attention of Mom+Pop Music Company and became one of the label's first signings.
The track listing for Beds Rearranged EP is as follows:
1. Company (Gerry "Ghosthouse" Smith (TV On The Radio) Remix) 2. Listen (Bodega Girls Remix) 3. Camp Out (RAC Remix) 4. Horizons (MR. F (Tally Hall) Remix) 5. Shoes Watch (Phenomenal Handclap Remix)

Woven Bones
The raw exuberance that Woven Bones seethes from its tightly-wound inner coil of turmoil isn't exactly the stuff daydreams are made of, but as their menacing presence has been culminating over the past couple of years, it's now clear as daylight that their finest efforts would come together on this, their debut LP. As they've effectively dragged the shards of their tattered souls with building ferocity on each of their previous singles and EPs, the evolutional process has honed itself to a fine edge, poised to level any contention and break into the blinding realness of now. They've finally harnessed the elusive throb and crash of their intended sonic perfection on their own terms, and this debut album will no doubt convert the middling masses into drooling slaves to their hypnotic heartbeat rhythm. What was only hinted at before is now as pure, raw, and ugly as a newborn jackal, squirming out of the wretched womb and ready to face the world, all the while, sending an evil chill down the spine and reminding you that yes, new music really can be this good.
Since the beginning, Woven Bones have primarily been the brainchild of singer/guitarist Andrew Burr from the point where their primordial ooze first seeped into our sphere of peripheral vision. After uprooting from Orlando in 2008 and settling in Austin, Texas last year, followed by touring the darkest corners of the underground stratosphere, their seedy and insidiously slithered drawl has fully come to a head, summoning the the pulse-pounding power to stand all hairs on-end. As bassist Matty and recently recruited drummer Carolyn have completed the fold, Woven Bones need no announcement to herald their arrival, but as their irresistibly iridescent hazy pop grime drills itself deeper into your soft skull, it's best to just stand back and experience them exploding out of your speakers.
Like the eardrum-shattering noise pop icons that came before them, Woven Bones blaze their own trail of lascivious loudness and controlled snarl that's just what the world needs right now, and the perfect soundtrack to your screwed-up summer. The debut album, In and Out and Back Again delivers nine heart-stabbing hits that just keep hitting back, so without further hesitation, we give you the debut album that explodes heads on contact, by your new favorite band, Woven Bones.

NEW YORK - Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Jack Johnson and other top artists are donating their music to encourage Americans to speak out on climate change. Organized by the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, HeadCount and the NRDC Action Fund, this collaboration marks the first time free music has been used to prompt Americans to contact their elected officials.
Best of Bonnaroo, a compilation of 17 different live performances from the festival, is available for free at www.Musicforaction.org. Before downloading the music, visitors are asked to email their Senators, the President or their local newspapers about climate change. The music is free no matter what, but the artists hope all their fans join them in taking action on this issue.
"This generation has an opportunity to be remembered as one that confronted environmental challenges and took responsibility for the future," said Jack Johnson, whose song "Inaudible Melodies" can be heard on the compilation. "With that opportunity comes the responsibility to speak out." The compilation also includes live tracks from Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, O.A.R. and Ani DiFranco, among others. In most cases these recordings have never before been released to the public, and were hand-picked by the musicians themselves. Other featured artists include: The Decemberists, Guster, Gov't Mule, Raphael Saadiq, Bob Weir & RatDog, Phil Lesh & Friends, moe. and The Disco Biscuits, whose bass player Marc Brownstein is the co-chair of HeadCount. All of the featured tracks are original songs, with the exception of My Morning Jacket's performance of The Velvet Underground's "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'". America is closer than ever to passing its first federal climate change-related legislation, but many hurdles remain. The House of Representatives approved an energy bill last June that would reduce emissions of heat-trapping gases and encourage the development of green jobs. President Barack Obama then told world leaders that the U.S. will reduce carbon emissions by 17 percent over the next 10 years (compared to 2005 levels). However, there has been little movement in the Senate, leaving one crucial step incomplete. Literally the whole planet is waiting to see what the U.S. will decide, as India and China are not likely to act without the U.S. doing the same. With climate change legislation now at a critical juncture, several organizations teamed up to use the gift of music to inspire citizens into action. HeadCount - a nonpartisan civic engagement organization best known for registering voters at concerts - conceived the idea as a way to point new voters toward being informed and active citizens. The NRDC Action Fund - an advocacy group committed to passing legislation that jump-starts the clean energy economy and reduces pollution - stepped in with resources, research, strategic guidance and a base of 250,000 supporters. "The musicians we work with are very passionate about this topic and have great power to drive change," said HeadCount's Executive Director Andy Bernstein. "Their music will serve as a soundtrack for action." "Forging a clean energy future means healthier kids, a safer world, and more jobs," said Heather Taylor-Miesle, director of the NRDC Action Fund. "This is our moment to demand that Congress put us on the path to a clean energy future by beginning to address climate change. We are excited about the opportunity to work with musicians and new activists throughout the country to make it happen."
Others involved include the popular music-oriented website JamBase.com, which is actively promoting the campaign to its base of more than half a million users. Music publications Paste, Relix, and Spin are also providing marketing support. The nonprofit environmental groups Oxfam America, the Energy Action Coalition, The Worldwatch Insitute, Grist.org and 350.org are supporting the initiative as coalition partners, as is the music-oriented environmental organization Reverb, which will promote the campaign through its new Green Music Group. Reverb's founder Adam Gardner can be heard on the compilation performing with his band Guster. "This is the exact sort of thing that Green Music Group was created to support, getting fans and musicians together around an environmental action," Gardner said. "There have been so many incredible performances at Bonnaroo over the years," said Richard Goodstone, one of the founders and principals of Superfly Presents, the co-promoter of Bonnaroo. "We're very happy that we could work with our family of artists in this way and inspire people to be active citizens. Climate change is the single biggest challenge our planet has ever faced and we all need to pitch in and be part of the solution." "The decisions made today will affect you and your children for many years to come," said former Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, a member of HeadCount's board of directors who can be heard on the compilation with has band RatDog. "Whether it's voting in an election or speaking out about issues like climate change, it's critical that we all make enough noise so that politicians have no choice but to listen." The Best of Bonnaroo track list is below: Wilco Bull Black Nova Pearl Jam Animal Jack Johnson Inaudible Melodies Dave Mathews Band Rapunzel Death Cab for Cutie Cath... KISSES
KISSES is a Los-Angeles based disco project featuring Jesse Kivel and Zinzi Edmundson.
Though primarily inspired by long-format, instrumental disco (Cerrone, Gino Soccio) KISSES has developed a uniquely concise songwriting style that is equal parts FM radio pop and expansive four-to-the-floor.
Early in life, Kivel developed a friendship with venerated cult disco producer Alec R. Costandinos, who rose to prominence in the late 1970s on a wave of ambitious concept albums and club singles. As Costandinos made available his knowledge and a healthy vinyl collection, the seeds for the KISSES album were sewn -- the KISSES name chosen as a nod to Costandinos' erstwhile 'Love & Kisses' project. As this creative relationship blossomed, Jesse took a day job as a travel writer to help make ends meet. His editors asked him to review hundreds of exotic hotels and resorts, many of which he had never seen or heard of before. The imagery used to write these reviews wove itself through the lyrics of songs like 'Bermuda' and 'Women of the Club', as well as the overall sound of The Heart of the Nightlife.
The modern-day resurgence of Costandinos' music, notably sampled on The Avalanches classic 2001 LP Since I Left You, allowed for an easy synthesis between current dance music trends (Lidstrom, Air France) and the panoramic ambitions of disco's commercial golden age. Nine songs were composed for the project, each exhibiting a refined pop sensibility evocative of Arthur Russell's later-period romantic works. There is a subconscious embrace of simple emotions and sentimentality on this record. It is a minimalist approach to pop music that revels in the celebratory moments of life, those fragments of time that we only remember in postcards or faint recollections. The Heart of the Nightlife takes these elusive moments and celebrates them openly, without fear of scorn.
Kisses will release their first single, Bermuda, on April 27th. It features the single and a remix by rising LA artist, Active Child. Future plans include DJ sets, SXSW parties, a full-length, and much more.

Los Angeles, CA - After building considerable hype with several critically-acclaimed singles in the UK, ACTIVE CHILD- the moniker for indie pop artist Pat Grossi- releases his debut single in the US "She Was A Vision" b/w "Voice Of An Old Friend," today March 2nd on Filter US Recordings. A six-song EP, also on Filter Magazine's label, is slated for release later this year. ACTIVE CHILD will appear at this year's South By Southwest Music Conference in Austin, TX. Dates below. This highly-anticipated release comes on the heels of myriad press raves. In the US, ACTIVE CHILD has garnered positive reviews from Stereogum, Pitchfork Media, The Fader, and LA Weekly who called him "evidently capable of great, great things" and proclaimed that he "excel[s] at a sort of ethereal organic sprawl that's been absent from LA music." Pitchfork Media lauded ACTIVE CHILD's mixed-genre work as "a good example of the positive results to be yielded from a musician straddling two disparate styles." In the UK, tastemaker magazine the NME called his songs "divine," while The Guardian named ACTIVE CHILD Band of the Day. ACTIVE CHILD's songs feature the skilled use of various 80s-tinged synths to create ethereal, soaring soundscapes, punctuated by crisp electronic drum samples and handclaps. All of this lays the groundwork for Grossi's exquisite vocals, which, with their unearthly sound and evocative lyrics, take on an enchanting, hymnal quality. Grossi participated in choirs throughout his childhood; the influence of chorale singing, along with the sensibility of non-secular music, is as apparent in ACTIVE CHILD's work as the influence of 80s synth pop bands like New Order, Joy Division and Tears for Fears. Summer Cats
Melbourne Australia's Summer Cats are keen students of POP in all of its flavors. From the motorik strum of Modern Lovers to the folky lilt of early Creation/Sarah label bands to the feedback-drenched noisy pop of the 00s, Summer Cats have got you covered. Their 2009 Slumberland album Songs For Tuesdays dazzled with its seemingly effortless song craft and sharp melodicism. Packed with proper tunes and confident vocals, it is one of the finest indiepop albums of recent memory.
Now Summer Cats are ready to release their first single since the album, and it's a corker. "Your Timetable" is a well-honed slice of noise-pop, full of fuzz guitar, romping organ and a chorus to die for. Augmented by new second guitarist Jeremy Cole (from excellent Melbourne band The Zebras), Summer Cats turn "Your Timetable" into a glorious racket of barely-contained guitar squall and crashing drums - a perfectly infectious two minute pop gem.
On the flip we have live favorite "TV Guide" finally given the studio treatment. Showing another facet to Summer Cats pop sound, "TV Guide" is an organ-driven bopper featuring excellent vocals from Scott Stevens, restrained guitar jangle 'n' strum, and yet another indelibly catchy melody and chorus. With its charming minimalism, "TV Guide" could fit right in on an early Flying Nun compilation -- a high compliment indeed. Jangly, fuzzy and catchy as hell, Summer Cats make brilliant pop records to dance and swoon to, and this fine single is sure to please fans of all things melodic and groovy.

Download “Twilight” and “Last Call” Today on KillRockStars.comToday we are making available two Elliott Smith songs: “Last Call” from Roman Candle and “Twilight” from From A Basement On The Hill. Both albums will be reissued on Kill Rock Stars on April 6, 2010. Roman Candle is Elliott Smith’s first solo album and was originally released on Portland’s Cavity Search Records in 1994. Roman Candle had quite an impact on Slim Moon, Kill Rock Stars' founder: "In 1994, I had been asked to be on this five-person solo-act tour called Pop Chord with Tammy Watson, Carrie Akre, Sean Croghan and Elliott Smith. The first night at the Crocodile in Seattle, I didn't pay too much attention and people talked all thru Elliott's set. Sean Croghan got up next and said "all of you people who just talked through Elliott's set are bummed because you just missed something very very special." The next night of the tour, at The Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco, I listened very closely to Elliott's set, and it was basically one of those life-changing moments. Instead of watching the rest of the performers, I went out to the tour van and popped Roman Candle into the player, and listened to it on endless repeat for the rest of the evening and beyond. It completely blew my mind. I have never heard music as heartwrenchingly, gut-checkingly honest, intimate, and wise before or since." Roman Candle has been remastered for the re-release by Roger Seibel and Larry Crane, editor of Tape Op Magazine and archivist for Elliott's family. Kill Rock Stars will also be releasing Roman Candle on vinyl for the first time in the U.S. From a Basement on the Hill was released posthumously in 2004 on ANTI- records. With the addition of these two records Kill Rock Stars is now the home for all of Elliott Smith’s independent release s: Roman Candle, Elliott Smith, Either/Or, From a Basement on the Hill, a nd New Moon.

Known for their unhinged live shows and collection of songs that have been praised by Spin, Entertainment Weekly, Esquire and USA Today, Steel Train is very excited to announce a new album and North American tour with Tegan and Sara. The 8-week tour that began in Massachusetts on February 12th, will give Steel Train a chance to debut new songs from their upcoming summer release (on a soon to be announced record label). The premiere track from the band's new album will be the edgy TURNPIKE GHOST, which lead singer and songwriter Jack Antonoff says, "Is a return to where we come from. We grew up playing legion halls and firehouses and the sound systems were always so bad we had to go ape shit to put on a real show, and somehow that inspired the music and lyrics to reflect all that madness." TURNPIKE GHOST is now available for free download on the band's official website - www.steeltrain.net. Steel Train is also proud to announce their performance at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 17th.
Produced by Steven McDonald (Be Your Own Pet, Imperial Teen), Steel Train's new album is the follow up to their record, TRAMPOLINE, which saw the band perform on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and share the stage with The Silversun Pickups, Ben Folds, Gomez and Say Anything, and appear at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, to name a few.
From the ambitious rocker TOUCH ME BAD to the playful SOLDIER IN THE ARMY, from the passionate album rock of BEHAVIOR to the rebellious YOU ARE DANGEROUS, this versatile new album brilliantly shows the strength of a band with a mission and as Antonoff adds "This new record is about getting the fuck out of bed with your mind open to the world - no bitterness. Nothing inspires me more than when I see that in people."

Jarrod Gorbel, the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter behind esteemed indie act The Honorary Title, announces tour dates for the new self-release of a solo EP. "Ten Years Older" is available now for digital download. The collection is a taste of what is to come. He is working on a full-length album, which will come out sometime in the near future. In addition to the digital release of the new EP, Jarrod offered a very limited edition, deluxe version of "Ten Years Older" which sold out on the second day. It included a download of the EP, a signed physical copy, two new, unreleased demos and a signed, original Polaroid. Only 200 deluxe versions were available for purchase. They were available at http://www.jarrodgorbelmusic.com/. Gorbel has come full circle this year, stepping out from behind the Honorary Title name and recording two remarkable new discs. His solo sound mines classic soul, traditional folk and Americana, incorporating strings, horns and female backing vocals for a sound more lush and organic than any of his previous work. The Honorary Title began several years ago as the moniker for Gorbel's solo folk musings, and later evolved into a full-fledged quartet. The band released their debut, Anything Else But The Truth, in 2004 receiving praise from Rolling Stone and Spin. Their first major-label release, 2007's Scream and Light Up the Sky, also garnered critical accolades, with Paste Magazine proclaiming the album to be the "under-realized power-pop supergroup's best to date. With its deceptively simple melodies, warm arrangements and heartfelt, soaring vocals, Gorbel's solo material brings the best qualities of The Honorary Title into crisp focus, making the details even more enchanting. Dosh
In setting out to create his fifth album for Anticon, Martin Dosh had two goals in mind. First: Get loose. 2008's Wolves & Wishes took a step in this direction by way of its guests - freewheelers like Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Odd Nosdam - but Dosh records are well-known for their impeccable arrangements. To wit, Andrew Bird used W&W's "First Impossible" as the rhythmic backbone for a song on last year's critically acclaimed Noble Beast LP. (Dosh has been collaborating, recording and touring with Bird since 2005.)
Dosh's second goal seemed to be in direct conflict with the first: To conceive yet thicker terrain for his already seething soundscapes. More drums. More vocals. And new to the Dosh catalog, lots of low end. Against all odds, Tommy skirts critical mass but stays organic, is never overwrought, and miraculously avoids becoming cluttered. Instead, this unique brand of maximalist, rhythmdriven post-rock sweeps lilting beauty, serious beats and even airy moments into its comely whirlwind.
When Tommy begins, "Subtractions" is already in full swing, as a dark assembly of grunts, buzzing, and kalimba transitions into marimba plunks and note-hopping electric guitar. The song evolves throughout its four minutes, eventually resolving in Tortoise-y figures played out on an array of instruments. "Yer Face" opens on a loop too, but quickly distinguishes itself via standup bass, syncopated keys, and a rare lyrical performance by Dosh. Andrew Bird sings on "Number 41," over pedal steel and a bassy beat chopped à la Radiohead's "Pulk/Push Revolving Doors."
"Town Mouse" plays like a warm, wide-open jam session, with different drum kits coming from different speakers, Dosh humming throughout, and bandmate Mike Lewis' horns flying over fuzzy Rhodes blurts. True to Dosh's letting go of control, Lewis actually wrote "Loud," a gorgeously spare piece that ambles off into the horizon before "Airlift" wraps Tommy's first half with lo-bit keys and a cut-up sample of Dosh and a friend covering Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell" back in '87. "County Road X" tills different soil still, largely focusing on improvised piano and glistening atmospherics.
Next is "Call The Kettle," a live fan favorite dating back to 2001 that finally gets an official release, albeit one reinvented by the dense, mesmeric thicket of notes played on saxophone, acoustic guitar, and 200-year-old harpsichord (recorded at St. Paul's Schubert Club music museum). Bird returns to lay his light twang over the heavy feedback wash of "Nevermet," while the bright epic "Gare De Lyon" slowly builds - for eight and a half minutes - to the album's close.
On this final song, Dosh stretches out immensely, nursing melodic sprawl through a tense percussive passage and on to a huge finish: an explosion of thrashing bass and drums that burns brightly before the record comes to a crashing halt. The abrupt finale fits Tommy, which is dedicated to and named after Dosh soundman Tom Cesario, a dear friend who unexpectedly passed two Christmases ago. Here, Dosh pays his respects best as he can, coming away with a record inspired by tragedy, but undeniably full of life.

Burbank , CA - Inimitable rock ‘n’ soul sextet Foxy Shazam has announced the release of their self-titled Sire Records album on April 13, 2010. Produced by John Feldmann, Foxy Shazam is the Cincinnati , OH band’s major label debut.
To support the album, Foxy Shazam will be taking their good times mobile with a nationwide headlining tour this March and April. Stops in New York , Los Angeles and a stint at the SXSW Music Conference in Austin , TX will give fans a chance to experience their notoriously rambunctious live show. Prior to their US dates, Foxy will be heading across the pond to play the NME Awards show with Hole on February 17th.
Citing influences as varied as Marvin Gaye, Elton John and “Born To Run”-era Bruce Springsteen, Foxy Shazam has been creating unique, genre-defying music since they formed in 2004. From the anthemic “Unstoppable” to doo wop power ballad “Bye Bye Symphony” and the swooning “Connect Me,” Foxy Shazam is an amalgam of blues, soul, and brash pop bound by a no holds barred punk-rock aesthetic.
Their songs “glitter like diamonds and kick like mules” said SPIN magazine, who named the band one of 10 Artists to Watch in 2010 in their December/January issue, and Simon Price of the London Observer declared “their ability to knock out killer tunes, wickedly witty wordplay and exuberantly maximalist sound (Andrew WK meets Dexys meets Springsteen) has already caused ripples, but it's on stage that they'll really blow your mind. Foxy Shazam are the band who ought to be all over next summer's festivals, painting smiles on everyone's faces."
Foxy Shazam’s debut single “Unstoppable” was featured on Sunday’s broadcast of the 44th annual Superbowl. The track is currently available for sale exclusively on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/unstoppable-single/id351170337. Fans not on Foxy’s tour route can watch a live performance of new song “Only Way to My Heart” here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAitL1ZcxUY

New York, NY – Motion City Soundtrack have announced a Spring US headlining tour in support of their Columbia Records debut – My Dinosaur Life – which entered the Billboard album chart at #15, the band’s highest debut to date. Critics have been raving about the new album with Entertainment Weekly giving it an A+ and Spin stating that it “…may well trigger their long-awaited breakthrough.” The band was thrilled to perform the first single from My Dinosaur Life – “Her Words Destroyed My Planet” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon February 2nd.
The press for the live show has been equally as good. In a live review of their sold-out Fillmore at Irving Show the NY Post wrote, “Like a Toyota with its pedal stuck to the metal, Motion City Soundtrack is all acceleration.” And Dan Aquilante went on to say, “If you've never heard of Motion City Soundtrack, don't feel bad: They're the well-kept secret of the college kids who hit the annual summer Vans Warped tour. But with this kind of energetic and musically superb performance, they won't be flying under the radar much longer.”
The band is wrapping its’ current headlining tour of the US on the West Coast where they’ll be playing the House of Blues in Los Angeles and Anaheim, before heading overseas to tour Japan, Australia and the UK. February 9, 2009, New York, NY -- Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment are excited to announce the initial lineup for the 2010 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The ninth annual four-day camping and music festival will be held on June 10 - 13 on the same beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles south of Nashville. A full list of confirmed acts follows, and more will be announced in the coming weeks. The final Bonnaroo 2010 lineup will total over 125 bands and over 20 comedians performing on 13 stages over four days.Tickets are on sale now exclusively at www.bonnaroo.com! Perhaps bringing you the most diverse and ambitious lineup to date, the 2010 event draws world-class acts from a staggering range of musical worlds. This year the festival features the Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Weezer, Flaming Lips performing Dark Side Of The Moon, The Dead Weather, Phoenix, John Fogerty, Jimmy Cliff, Tenacious D, Zac Brown Band, Avett Brothers, Norah Jones, LCD Soundsystem, Tori Amos, The National, Jeff Beck, Michael Franti, Against Me!, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Baaba Maal, The Melvins, Thievery Corporation to name but a small portion of the deep lineup. Wonder's Bonnaroo performance marks a rare festival appearance for the legend, whose illustrious songbook continues to be as influential and significant today as ever. Bonnaroo veterans Kings of Leon are the first band in the history of the festival to start on a tent stage and work their way up to the coveted headlining slot. They were first booked to play a tent stage early in the day in 2004. They have gone on to perform at Bonnaroo several times, each appearance bigger than the last. This will be one of the very few appearances the band will make in 2010. The largest and most revered music and camping event in the country, Bonnaroo has elevated the American rock festival to an unprecedented level. As the only round-the-clock major U.S. music festival, Bonnaroo packs an unparalleled amount of entertainment options into its four days. The event has offered its attendees the amenities and community spirit of a small city, with 24 hours of activities including a comedy theater, cinema festival, jazz club, silent disco, arcade, Internet cafés, restaurants, yoga classes and hundreds of high quality craft vendors. Since its inception, Bonnaroo swiftly earned its status as the country's premier music and arts event. The Wall Street Journal called Bonnaroo "one of rock's best festivals," continuing to hail that the 2009 lineup "fairly bursts with some of the most gifted acts in rock and pop." Entertainment Weekly called it "the best of all sonic worlds," while the New York Times said, "Bonnaroo's very loose mandate - and a wise one for any festival - is to choose performers who deliver in a live performance, with current hits and studio expertise as lower priorities. One of the pleasures of the festival is that it defies narrowcasting: It's not an Americana festival, an indie-rock festival, a gathering of 2008-9 hitmakers or anything but what its producers and, presumably, ticket-buyers are happy to hear." Rolling Stone called Bonnaroo "one of the 50 moments to change the history of rock and roll." Once again, Bonnaroo has created a couple of unique ticketing options for its fans. The festival is offering a special payment plan in whichtickets will be available for five (5) payments of $50.00 plus applicable fees. In addition, fans will have the option to purchase a Bonnaroo Green Ticket that will help to support the development and implementation of sustainable improvements at the festival for years to come. Festival organizers are constantly looking for ways to be aggressive with mitigating the event's environmental impact and raising awareness about green issues. As part of Fuse's three-year deal with Bonnaroo, the network will be back as the exclusive television partner of the festival. Fuse will be reporting live from Bonnaroo throughout the weekend and will air a special, featuring interviews with the hottest bands and performances from this year's star-studded lineup. www.fuse.tv Official festival website is www.bonnaroo.com 2010 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival Confirmed Artists: Dave Matthews Band Kings of Leon Stevie Wonder Jay-Z Tenacious D Weezer The Flaming Lips with Stardeath and White Dwarfs perform "Dark Side of the Moon" The Dead Weather Damian Marley & Nas Phoenix Norah Jones Michael Franti & Spearhead John Fogerty Regina Spektor Jimmy Cliff LCD Soundsystem The Avett Brothers Thievery Corporation Rise Against Tori Amos The National Zac Brown Band Les Claypool John Prine The Black Keys Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers Jeff Beck Dropkick Murphys She & Him Against Me! Just in time to chase away the winter blues, Sister Hazel will be releasing its next single, “Vacation Rain,” in March at Hot AC and AAA radio. The song comes from the band’s latest album, “Release,” which debuted at #37 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart in August 2009. Additionally, in support of “Release,” Sister Hazel continues on the road, including a Midwest run (see full tour schedule below).
The band would like to encourage fans to visit Sister Hazel’s iLike page (http://www.ilike.com/artist/Sister+Hazel) to dedicate the song “This Kind Of Love” for Valentine’s Day to show a loved one or their big crush that they care. The song has become a wedding proposal and reception first dance staple since it came out on the album “Absolutely” in 2006. A special online contest will be running on the bowling game application, Lucky Strike Lanes, from February 5th – 11th. Fans who beat Sister Hazel band member, Drew Copeland (who scored a 211) will win Sister Hazel goodies. Fans can play at the following locations:

In early 2010, Sister Hazel hosted the 10th annual Rock Boat cruise aboard the Carnival Inspiration, which hit the high seas January 7 – 11, 2010. The boat sailed from Tampa to Cozumel, Mexico. One of the highlights of this year’s cruise was the fan-favorite Deep Cuts set by Sister Hazel, which included songs that had either never been performed live or had not been performed live in over 10 years. The band’s website (www.sisterhazel.com) includes video clips from the set. Sister Hazel co-founded the Rock Boat cruise with Sixthman in 2001.
Music fans who aren’t already following Sister Hazel on Twitter should do so: they have over 770,000 followers (@sisterhazelband), and all five band members actively update the feed daily with information about upcoming shows and appearances, musings about life on the road, details about their personal lives and families, and the things they like to do when they aren’t on stage.
