There are a ton bands floating around the country doing everything from playing in small bars to opening for larger acts in huge venues. The only difference between the majority of those bands and The Bigger Lights is the fact that they can write a very infectious tune. This trio from Virginia is starting out their career in the right way with their bright and powerful debut EP titled Fiction Fever.
When it comes to the music of The Bigger Lights, there is not a lot to differentiate them from the crowded indie pop genre. Their forte is their ability to make this same old song into something that can be enjoyed on its own, apart from the rest of what is being played on the radio. Each song tells its own story and tells and keeps you yearning for another listen to explore the smaller things in each track.
Fiction Fever is about as good as an EP can get. The first songs from a new band always indicate at the direction of how the artistic style will play out on future albums and these six songs are a good start. Most true fans still like to own a piece of their favorite artist, and now this small EP, which has only been available as a download, will see new light on a physical cd from Doghouse Records. Hopefully, this new release will further a newly minted bright star.
